A doona or bedspread can potentially hold up to 20,000 live house dust mites which can cause severe health implications, as the contaminants can trigger symptoms of asthma, rhinitis and conjunctivitis and irritate existing cases of eczema.
In addition, bedding is a magnet for perspiration, pet hair/dander, allergens, dirt and germs.
Experts therefore recommend regularly cleaning doonas and bedspreads at least every six months, preferably every quarter.

The Shirt Butler has the facilities to make sure your doonas, bedspreads, blankets, quilts or pillows cleaned propely, no matter the size or care label instructions.
We can cater for all types of fill imaginable – synthetics, wools, bamboos as well as duck, goose, and other feathers/downs.
In addition to dry cleaning, we also have the capacity to professionally wet clean and launder all bedding items, with large commercial grade dry cleaning machines, washers, and dryers onsite.
So, whatever the item, we can handle all your bedding cleaning needs.
We use the most appropriate solutions and cleaning processes to ensure that your bedding is beautifully cleaned, odourless, fluffed up and ready to sleep on.

All our doonas & bedding work is performed in house by fully qualified and trained staff at our 500 square metre purpose built plant in Thornleigh.

How it Works
Book A Collection
Complete the booking form and schedule your pickup for the next available collection day.
We’ll confirm your booking with an sms message. We’re in your area at least twice a week so there’s plenty of choice.
Our standard turn around time is 48 hours.
Pick Up
We collect your garments/items from your doorstep or other chosen location.
In the event that there are no items left out for collection, we will call you before leaving empty handed.
An sms message will confirm the successful or failed collection immediately upon completion.
Cleaning
Using sensitive and environmentally responsible detergents your garments/items are cleaned in-house by our expertly trained staff.
All items are hand inspected prior to delivery.
Automated item tracking provides full accountability for all orders.
Delivery
We deliver back to your doorstep or other chosen location.
In the event that we are unable to deliver we will call you for instructions before leaving.
An email will confirm the successful or failed delivery and includes a detailed tax invoice.
